ALK July Round-Up

Posted: 1 August, 2018

Summer is here and at ALK we’ve been busy attending events, connecting with our partners and developing transportation technology to serve industries worldwide. Here are our highlights for July:

A Day At The Races

To kick off the month, our German team attended the ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the legendary Nürburgring race track in Germany. Together with some of our partners, they cheered on Powell's Truck Racing team, proudly sponsored by CoPilot Truck.

Back to School

From July 13-18th, our US team exhibited at the 2nd annual School Transportation News Conference and Trade Show in Reno, NV. STN Expo is a leading industry event for transportation directors working in the K-12 student transportation sector.

In Other News

Last month ALK released PC*MILER 32, the latest version of our industry-standard routing, mileage & mapping software. We have taken custom location and route management content to the next level. Find out what’s new by watching a quick, two minute video.

We looked beyond trucking to see how technology can enhance K-12 fleet visibility and provides real-time ETAs to keep parents informed. Discover more!

Our very own Jon Suddards, Director of Business Development, wrote this great article for Postal and Parcel magazine. Learn how companies can increase their rates of successful first time delivery.

Last but not least, we took a closer look at what the ‘last mile’ is and why it’s a crucial part in the supply chain for the postal and parcel industry as well as for the trucking industry.

Running and Bowling

Some of our ALK employees ventured outside despite the heat and supported local charities by running in Phil’s Tavern Quarter Marathon in Pennsylvania.

Our UK team also got out of the office to enjoy some after-work lawn bowling in central London.
