2013 ALK Transportation Technology Summit Highlights
We just wrapped up our ninth ALK Transportation Technology Summit here in Princeton. Thanks to all of our attendees, sponsors and presenters. Here are some of the highlights from our unique industry event:
ALK’s Latest Capability: RouteSync™

Now, synchronization between the back office to the cab is made possible with ALK’s latest capability – RouteSync. RouteSync sends the planned PC*MILER route directly to an on-board device running CoPilot Truck. This synchronization helps to maintain route compliance, ensure operational consistency, and reduce non-revenue mileage.

Being in the transportation and technology industry, we couldn’t help but wonder how Santa could use our navigation solutions to get from the North Pole to our headquarters here in Princeton, NJ. Did you know that if Santa and his elves used a truck instead of his flying sled, it would take him nearly 68 hours to drive the 4,232 miles from the North Pole (Alaska, that is) to ALK Headquarters? Thanksgiving has arrived and here at ALK we have much to be thankful for. Our talented team has been working very hard on our products and this year, we’ve successfully launched new versions of our truck routing software PC*MILER as well as our new customized mapping platform, ALK Maps; additionally, our free app, CoPilot GPS, was downloaded over 2 million times.
Our employees also collected enough food to fill six Thanksgiving baskets for the charitable organization, HomeFront. This year, HomeFront plans to help over 2,000 families celebrate Thanksgiving, including those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
